False Modesty is a British rock band from the Midlands. A more rag-tag bunch of misfits you may never find! Having all played in bands from a young age, they came together in 2014 and have been getting progressively less attractive ever since. They’re all a little bit awkward and unquestionably unfashionable. They play bloody good music though! With two singles having ranked in the top 10 in the reverb nation chart, they’re modestly seeking to bring back some classic sounds to the UK’s live music scene. Drawing inspiration from the annals of rock music from the 60s to present, they draw inspiration from the likes of Led ZepplinBlack SabbathThe Rolling StonesACDCAerosmithOasisStereophonicsNirvanaFoo FightersMetallica and more. With quite an eclectic range of tastes and styles they blend blues, rock and grunge into their music with grooving bass lines, gritty guitar solos and rhythmic melodies.

Malone’s music has an uptempo riff-laden sound that will have fans of Biffy ClyroFoo FightersFeeder, Incubuset al showing more than a passing interest in what is on offer. Having just released the long-awaited debut album ‘Might As Well Face It’ on CD and iTunes, Malone and his band are primed to entertain and take the music to the public.  The album title comes from a Robert Palmer song, via a conversation with a friend, who decided that Matt “might as well face it, you’re addicted to love…” Having trawled the UK toilet circuit with popular local rock band ‘Season’ for 10 years in the 00’s, Matt Malone decided it was time to go it alone. Frustrated with the lack of ambition and commitment from other band members, it was time to ignore other people’s life choices and make a huge life choice of his own.

They are currently recording two singles and already have a self-titled EP. In the summer of 201,6 they had the privilege of opening for Status Quo and Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel at Caldicot Castle and have had radio play at BBC Radio Wales, Radio Cardiff and others.
