ung Jimmy’s Big Ideas is a nationwide music collective, bringing together artists from the psychedelic, space-rock and shoegaze underground.

Started in 2016 and featuring over 20 different members, the collective has included artists from Derby’s Starwheel to Sheffield’s Vultures and Birmingham’s Violet and Gleam to Nottingham’s The Lizards, to name a few.

The shows are heavily improvised with rehearsal workshops organised in the lead up to shows to create the set. It is our belief that the fragility of improvisation releases the best from all performers carrying an atmosphere and on stage energy that is hard to capture from a well regimented and rehearsed setlist.

For fans of: The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spaceman 3, TOY, Deerhunter and The War On Drugs.

In early 2016, after playing in hotspots like Camden and Birmingham, STS released their second track ‘Sadie’. These two tracks have carried the band into hours of air time on BBC Introducing, Salop Radio, and more. Their debut EP Side Effects was released late last year.

Plus support from CARL LAWRENCE

Singer-Songwriter Carl Lawrence, the former lead guitarist from Birmingham band Malone Malone, is starting to bring forward his new solo acoustic act to the public. Having spent time living in Los Angeles California, he has started writing new folk music inspired by the likes of Mac Demarco, Bob Dylan, Lead Belly and writer William S. Burroughs. Defined by bouncing guitar rhythms, considered lyricism and mesmerising melodies, he is a fresh new rock act to be excited about.
