We’re coming up to our forth Lifest here at The Actress & Bishop! Each year, for one day only, we turn the pub into a mini Festival with all the trimmings, live music (of course), great street food, stalls, fancy dress, face painting, fire show, chill out zone and finish the night off with our famous silent disco!
Lifest started as an off the whim idea after a nights work in the office, which turned into a huge success from the get go! We’ve welcomed acts such as, Broken Witt Rebells, Ivory Wave, The Dead Sea Skulls, Delamere, Lycio, The Frenzies, Lobster, Skabucks and many more. We like to keep the music upbeat all day and night long to create that perfect party atmosphere! We support local talent as well as sneaking in a couple of tour bands to create our dream line up! Over the years we’ve raised valuable funds for charities such as Cancer Research UK & St Giles Hospice and continue to do so, this year we will be raising money for a charity close to our heart St Gile’s hospice. More information on the charity can be found here: https://www.stgileshospice.com
This year certainly isn’t set to disappoint! The line up includes legendary locals The Cracked Actors, The Cracked Actors are HUGELY popular in and around Birmingham and have been going for longer than most bands we know. The Cracked Actors are a BIG festival band touring up and down the country every year to various UK festivals. With enigmatic frontman Fudge and strong band of 7, they’re a league of their own. Certainly one of the most entertaining bands on the Birmingham Circuit, if you haven’t caught these guys already, they’re a MUST SEE – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InugwBODBOM
