We want you to feel comfortable during your visit to The Actress so there is no strict dress code. However we do ask you to remove caps and hoods inside the venue. The vibe is generally smart casual with many choosing to dress up on a weekend.

We’re well known for our music! Prepare to be taking through the decades of indie, new wave, ska & northern soul with a sprinkling of rock, pop and dance. There is something for everyone, but guitar music is at our core.

Yes there is, we have a well lit seated area at the front of the venue.

We do not have a car park but on road parking is widely available. Costs may vary but it is free after 6pm.

Under 18’s are welcome until 8pm.

We do not currently do food but there are a number of eateries close by should you want to grab a bite before a gig or join us for drinks after.

Our main bar/gig room is situated on the ground floor and is accessible for all. Our upstairs bar/gig room is on the first floor which is only accessible via stairs. Please email us at info@theactressandbishop.com for any queries.

Yes we have disabled toilets located on our ground floor.
